THE BLACK ARM BAND: dirtsong
The Black Arm Band is a collection of many of Australia’s premiere Aboriginal musicians performing a mix of traditional and contemporary songs. Performed against a backdrop of evocative film imagery, dirtsong is a series of musical “conversations” in which the artists reflect on their country, offering a conceptual and emotional map of Australia’s heartland.
Presented by the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.
